The Chicco Cortina Travel System covers everything that you would need for your baby – it is a stroller, an infant car seat, and a car seat base in one package.
The Cortina Travel System by Chicco has blown away a number of parents because of its several flashy features including a multi-position “memory recline”. What this feature does is that it lets the stroller remember the last position it was in before the stroller was folded and put away. Although this is not actually a great need, one should admit that this is a very neat extra.
The Cortina Travel System also has a three position leg rest and its folding mechanism is very easy to use – all you need in one hand! The wheel breaks are very effective and it has an all-wheel suspension that provides a comfortable ride for your child.
Other features that set this travel system from the rest are its reversible canopy, complete with a sun-shading and wind-breaking effectiveness feature, a parent and child cup holders, as well as a storage basket that can be reached when the seat is fully reclined.
The car seat that comes with this travel system locks into the Cortina stroller safely and securely, including an interior lined with energy absorbing foam for greater protection in the event of side impacts and collision. The Cortina Travel System is not only intended to carry the standard 22-pound babies, it can also be used to carry as little as 4 pounds and has a full-body newborn insert for fitted support.
